Make a memorial donation

A Trees For Life memorial is a beautiful way to honour the life of a loved one.

Many families choose to donate to a beloved charity or cause after the passing of a loved one.

Or you may wish, in your own funeral arrangements, to ask family and friends to donate to Trees For Life in lieu of flowers.

Trees For Life can provide donation envelopes which the funeral home will arrange for use on your behalf.  Your family will receive a personal letter with a summary of the kind gifts received by Trees For Life, and each person who donates in memory will receive a thank you letter.

Contact Trees For Life to discuss a memorial donation.

Memory Tree Program

Since 1991, Trees For Life in partnership with Alfred James Funeral Homes, planted over 55,000 native trees and shrubs across hundreds of hectares of land through the Memory Tree Program. The Memory Tree Program was established to provide living memorials for families and friends whose loved ones have passed away.

Over the life of the project Memory Trees were planted in Cobbler Creek Recreation Park, O’Halloran Hill (now Glenthorne National Park-Ityamaiitpinna Yarta), Monarto Zoo and Frahns Farm, near Murray Bridge. In 2019, Trees For Life created a new Memory Tree Walk at the southern entrance of Kinchina Conservation Park offering family and friends a place to visit, sit awhile and see examples of Memory Tree species.

Sadly, Alfred James Funeral Homes have now ceased the Memory Tree Program. We are sorry to see it go. To honour our commitment to South Australians the Memory Tree Walk will continue to be cared for until 2027.
