Make a memorial donation

A Trees For Life memorial is a beautiful way to honour the life of a loved one.

Many families choose to donate to a beloved charity or cause after the passing of a loved one.

Or you may wish, in your own funeral arrangements, to ask family and friends to donate to Trees For Life in lieu of flowers.

Trees For Life can provide donation envelopes which the funeral home will arrange for use on your behalf.  Your family will receive a personal letter with a summary of the kind gifts received by Trees For Life, and each person who donates in memory will receive a thank you letter.

Contact Trees For Life to discuss a memorial donation.

Memory Tree Program

The Memory Tree Program provides beautiful living memorials for families and friends whose loved ones have passed away. In partnership with Alfred James Funeral Homes, Trees For Life has planted over 55,000 native trees and shrubs across hundreds of hectares of land since it was first established in 1991.

Memory Trees have been planted in Cobbler Creek Recreation Park, O’Halloran Hill (now Glenthorne National Park-Ityamaiitpinna Yarta), Monarto Zoo and more recently Frahns Farm, near Murray Bridge. While the location of memory tree plantings has changed over the years, the purpose has remained the same, to create native habitat as a living tribute.

In the last few years, a new Memory Tree Walk was created at the southern entrance of Kinchina Conservation Park. It’s a peaceful location for family and friends to visit, sit awhile and see examples of Memory Tree species.

Alfred James Funeral Directors offer the Memory Tree Program to all South Australian families accessing their services. Please direct all enquiries to Alfred James by phone on 8272 8555 or email [email protected].
