It’s now time to order your native seedlings with Trees For Life.
The Tree Scheme program helps people grow and plant native seedlings right across South Australia by providing a wide range of low-cost native seedlings local to your area.
You might be planting for practical reasons like creating shelter or windbreaks, or to address erosion or salinity. You might also be planting to support biodiversity, create habitat for wildlife, or for the general amenity of your property.
If you’ve been thinking about revegetating your land, getting in touch is the first step. Expert staff can help you select the right native species and provide all the help and information you need for your planting project.
You can choose to grow your own seedlings, or have one of our passionate volunteers grow for you. The Tree Scheme offers a choice of over 200 species from 42 zones across South Australia.
Yorke Peninsula landholder Juliette Riddall says, "The Tree Scheme enables you to have a high volume and coverage of trees at a very reasonable cost. But it facilitates more than trees. There are learning materials and support - you can phone up and speak to someone."
There are several discounts on offer this year:
- Landholders with ElectraNet assets on their properties can receive a 50% discount* for seedlings, tree guards and stakes.
- Schools and small community groups can get a 50% discount* when ordering native seedlings.
Order your seedlings now and they’ll be ready to plant in winter 2027.
- If your property is on the Limestone Coast and you order seedling species which support the Red-tailed black cockatoo, you can receive a 50% discount*. Minimum order applies. Supported by the Australian Government and the Limestone Coast Landscape Board.
Tree Scheme orders are open until 31 August 2026.
