Noarlunga and Fleurieu Groups

Noarlunga Group

The Noarlunga group was formed in 1989 as an offshoot of the active Willunga Group. The original focus was to help revegetate Christies Creek. The group’s current focus is its three Bush For Life sites: Tingira Reserve and Francis Street in the O’Sullivan Beach area and Piggot Range Road adjacent to the Onkaparinga National Park. The group also helps with the annual Tree Scheme distribution depot in Noarlunga.

The group meets on the first Thursday of each month (except January) at Elizabeth House (over 50s centre) 112 Elizabeth Road, Christie Downs. Visitors and new members welcome. Contact Di Butcher 08 8382 4149 or Graham Greaves 08 8386 1018.

Fleurieu Planting Group

The Fleurieu Planting Group offers planting assistance to Trees For Life landholders living on the Fleurieu Peninsula and is managed by volunteer Bunti Pellen. Plantings are held most Sundays from May to September, running from 10am-1pm followed by a luncheon provided by the landholder.

It is a great opportunity to see different locations you wouldn’t normally have access to and meet like-minded people. Thousands of trees are planted by the Fleurieu Planting Group each year from Tailem Bend to Victor Harbor.

If you’d like to help plant or are a landholder needing planting assistance phone Bunti on 0429 016 335 or email [email protected].
